The Group Securities is a well-established investment organization working in the finance industry since 1989, as a company devoted to the stock exchange. It was licensed once Qatar Stock Exchange was founded in 1997 and provides an array of investment services to more than 400,000 investors, with portfolios exceeding QR 100 billion. As brokerage firm, The Group Securities finances margin trading and operates as liquidity provider for the listed shares and ETFs. The company has a paid-up capital worth (QR 1 billion) and has been continuously posting profit since its inception. Besides being licensed by Qatar Financial Market Authority to exercise these activities, The Group Securities is also a member of Qatar Stock Exchange.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of complex software development projects from initiation to closure, ensuring successful delivery within budget, scope, and schedule constraints
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders) to define project requirements, allocate resources, estimates project timelines and set deliverables
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure project success
- Identify and manage project risks and issues, proactively mitigating potential roadblocks and providing solutions to ensure successful project progress
- Continuously monitor project progress and provide regular status reports to stakeholders, including updates on project health, risks, and issues
- Lead Agile/Scrum teams and ensure adherence that methodology's practices and ceremonies are followed
- Manage project scope changes, ensuring that they are thoroughly documented, reviewed, and approved by stakeholders
Skills Description
- 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager, demonstrating a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex technical projects
- Strong technical background and understanding of software development processes and methodologies
- Proficiency in using various project delivery methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall and hybrid) with the ability to tailor them for program success
- Excellent project management skills, encompassing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management
- Strong proficiency in project management tools and software, such as JIRA, Asana, and Microsoft Project, as well as expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools
- Proven leadership skills & abilities by inspiring and motivating teams to achieve project objectives
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal, both in Arabic and English
- Domain expertise in the Finance and brokerage space is a significant advantage
