Job Description:
As a member of King Faisal School, you will be expected to support the philosophy and mission statement of the school, as well as the pedagogy of the curriculum we offer showing initiative, enthusiasm, and responsibility at all times. You will be expected to work together with all members of staff within the school, both teaching and non-teaching, and be part of a whole team. You will be expected to foster good relationships with everyone within the school community, and to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times. The specific responsibilities that come with this role are as follows: 1. Supporting children: Supervising small groups of children while they work on tasks, helping individual children with their work, listening to them read, and helping them develop their social, communication, interpersonal, and self-management skills. 2. Supporting the teacher: handling routine classroom administrative duties, helping to manage pupil behavior around the school, dealing with minor accidents, breakfast, playtime, and lunch time supervision. 3. Supporting the curriculum: Supporting the class teacher in the effective delivery of the curriculum by observing and recording children’s progress, and supporting children in specific areas of the curriculum. 4. Supporting the school: Working as a committed member of the KFS the team at all times, both inside and outside the classroom. 5. Handling other duties in line with the post as maybe required by the teachers or school management. 6. Modeling all attributes of the IB learner profile. 7. Cover some educational periods according to the academic VP and department VP instructions. 8. Covering the absent teachers' classes. 9. Participating in all school activities, meetings, and committees 10. Participating in the preschool duty schedule. 11. Performing any tasks assigned by the preschool administration. 12. Do all work assigned, as needed.
