In transfer pricing at PwC, you will focus on providing guidance and support to clients on transfer pricing matters. In this field, you will help businesses establish and maintain appropriate pricing for transactions between related entities and connected persons, maintaining compliance with tax regulations and minimising the risk of disputes.

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a diverse team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of transfer pricing engagements, including scoping, work planning, execution, and quality review.
  • Develop and review transfer pricing documentation (e.g., Local File/Master File support), benchmarking studies, and economic analyses.
  • Design and refresh transfer pricing policies and intercompany pricing models for goods, services, intangibles, and financing arrangements.
  • Support transfer pricing controversy matters, including audit readiness, responses to authority queries, and defense file preparation.
  • Coordinate with PwC network teams to deliver consistent cross-border transfer pricing advice and project delivery.
  • Apply data analytics and technology tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and insight in transfer pricing analyses.
  • Manage and coach junior team members, providing on-the-job guidance, feedback, and formal performance input.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, communicating clearly and proactively on issues, risks, and recommendations.
  • Contribute to business development through proposals, presentations, and thought leadership to grow the transfer pricing portfolio.

Growing as a strategic advisor, you leverage your influence, expertise, and network to deliver quality results. You motivate and coach others, coming together to solve complex problems. As you increase in autonomy, you apply sound judgment, recognising when to take action and when to escalate. You are expected to solve through complexity, ask thoughtful questions, and clearly communicate how things fit together. Your ability to develop and sustain high performing, diverse, and inclusive teams, and your commitment to excellence, contributes to the success of our Firm.

Examples of the skills, knowledge, and experiences you need to lead and deliver value at this level include but are not limited to:

  • Craft and convey clear, impactful and engaging messages that tell a holistic story.
Apply systems thinking to identify underlying problems and/or opportunities.

  • Direct the team through complexity, demonstrating composure through ambiguous, challenging and uncertain situations.
  • Deepen and evolve your expertise with a focus on staying relevant.
  • Initiate open and honest coaching conversations at all levels.
  • Make difficult decisions and take action to resolve issues hindering team effectiveness.
  • Model and reinforce professional and technical standards (e.g. refer to specific PwC tax and audit guidance), the Firm's code of conduct, and independence requirements.
  • Stay continuously informed of local, regional, and global tax and transfer pricing developments, including legislative changes, regulatory guidance, and tax authority practices, and apply this knowledge in day-to-day work.
  • Proactively read, track, and follow updates in the tax and transfer pricing landscape to ensure advice, analyses, and deliverables remain accurate, current, and aligned with evolving requirements.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness by understanding client objectives, industry dynamics, and operational realities when developing transfer pricing analyses.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal drafting, credential preparation, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross line of serves teams (e.g. tax, legal, valuation, and consulting) to deliver integrated client solutions.

What You’ll Bring

Must have:

  • Relevant experience in transfer pricing / international tax (at least 6 years), with demonstrated ownership of client deliverables.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Tax, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and BEPS, with the ability to apply them to real-world fact patterns (policy design, documentation, and audit readiness).
  • Strong analytical capability and the ability to translate financial results into clear transfer pricing conclusions.
  • High-quality written communication skills (clear, structured drafting and review of client-ready documents).
  • Experience managing workstreams and supporting the development of junior team members.
  • Fluency in English.
  • People & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to coach, guide and develop junior team members, combined with strong teamwork and collaboration skills to deliver high-quality outcomes.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Nice to have:

  • Experience delivering transfer pricing projects in the Middle East, including exposure to local regulatory and documentation expectations.
