  • Supervise contractor activities related to utility diversions, protection works, shutdowns, and new installations; ensure compliance with authority specifications and project drawings.

  • Review and approve contractor submittals including method statements, shop drawings, material approvals, and as-built documentation.

  • Witness testing and commissioning of utility networks (pressure tests, CCTV surveys, cable testing, etc.) and verify compliance with authority handover requirements.

  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, RFIs, and variation assessments for the Engineer and Client.

  • Coordinate with roads, structures, traffic, and landscape disciplines to ensure utility works align with the overall project program.

  • Identify risks related to live services, propose mitigation measures, and ensure HSE compliance during excavation near existing utilities.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil from a recognized university.

  • Minimum 10–12 years of utilities engineering experience, with at least 4–5 years in the UAE (Dubai experience strongly preferred).

  • Proven track record on major roads/infrastructure projects under RTA or similar authorities.

  • Working knowledge of DEWA, Etisalat, du, Empower, and DM design and installation standards.

  • Familiarity with BIM for clash detection is preferred.

  • Ability to work under pressure on multi-disciplinary, fast-track projects.
