For webmasters
The GulfHire reader
GulfHire lists jobs from employers' own careers sites. This is what reads them, and how to reach us.
Who it is
It says who it is
- Every request carries this user agent: python-httpx/<version> GulfHire/1.0 (+https://gulfhire.com/reader), and a From header with our address. It never pretends to be a browser.
- It reads from our servers in Frankfurt, Germany.
- It reads public job listings and their pages only, never anything behind a sign-in.
How it reads
Gently, and by your rules
- It reads your robots.txt first and follows it. Write rules for the name GulfHire to address it directly.
- It waits a few seconds between requests to one site and reads each site at most a few times a day, usually once.
- It keeps your company name and a link to the original posting on every listing, and removes a job within a day of it leaving your site.
Reach us
To change or stop it
- Write to [email protected] with your site's address. We can read a feed you prefer, slow down, or stop reading your site and remove its listings within 24 hours.
- A Disallow rule for GulfHire in your robots.txt stops it at once.
