Business Unit Overview
We are seeking an AI Product Manager to turn business opportunities into successful, adopted AI products for Tax & Legal Services. The portfolio may include document and knowledge workflows, intelligent automation, compliance support, and productivity solutions used by professional teams.
This is a hands-on product and delivery leadership role. You will own the journey from business discovery and prioritisation to squad execution, launch, adoption, and measurable impact. You are accountable for clear commitments, realistic plans, delivery quality, and meeting agreed deadlines - not just maintaining a backlog.
You will also help drive the wider AI agenda: identify high-value use cases with the business, influence priorities, increase AI understanding and adoption, and stay continuously current on new AI capabilities, tools, and risks, including the Harvey legal AI platform.
How You’ll Contribute
Business Discovery & Product Definition (Core Focus)
Proven ability to identify and shape the right problems to solve, including:
• Engage Tax & Legal practitioners and business leaders to understand pain points, processes, users, and desired outcomes
• Convert ambiguous requests into user journeys, prioritised use cases, product requirements, and acceptance criteria
• Evaluate value, feasibility, data readiness, risk, and effort; challenge requests when a simpler approach is better
• Maintain a clear roadmap, prioritised backlog, measurable objectives, and explicit product success criteria
Squad Leadership & Delivery Management (Core Focus)
Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end delivery with a multidisciplinary squad, including:
• Plan releases, milestones, capacity, dependencies, and critical paths; meet commitments without sacrificing essential controls
• Run disciplined sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, issue resolution, and delivery reporting
• Control scope, priorities, budgets, and blockers; escalate delivery risks early with options and recommendations
• Coordinate requirements, design, development, integrations, testing, UAT, approvals, rollout, and handover
• Deliver reliably under time pressure while keeping teams focused, accountable, and supported
Stakeholder Management & Governance (Core Focus)
Excellent ability to align stakeholders with different priorities and backgrounds, including:
• Build trusted relationships across business, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Security, Privacy, and leadership teams
• Lead decision forums and resolve tensions between business urgency, technical feasibility, and risk appetite
• Bring control functions into design early, track reviews and sign-offs, and maintain transparent ownership of risks
AI Product Knowledge & Harvey (Core Focus)
Strong practical AI literacy, with a commitment to learning as the field evolves, including:
• Understand LLM applications, RAG and enterprise search, document AI, agents, workflow automation, and integrations
• Understand AI limitations: incorrect or ungrounded outputs, data sensitivity, evaluation, human review, and ongoing monitoring
• Demonstrate working knowledge of Harvey and where it can support legal and professional-services workflows
• Assess Harvey or other platforms against bespoke builds with engineers, balancing quality, risk, effort, and cost
• Stay actively informed on new AI models, vendor features, best practices, and emerging risks; translate learning into product decisions
Adoption, Value & Product Operations
Ability to turn releases into sustained business outcomes, including:
• Define adoption plans, pilot groups, user training, communications, and operating-model changes
• Track product use, time saved, quality, satisfaction, risk reduction, and other agreed value measures
• Use feedback and operating data to own support handover, issue resolution, and the improvement backlog
Security, Risk & Responsible AI
Good judgement in regulated and confidentiality-sensitive environments, including:
• Work with risk owners on data protection, access control, confidential information, auditability, and vendor controls
• Define human review, evaluation, traceability, and production-release safeguards with the required sign-offs
Additional Requirements
- Strong experience delivering digital or AI-enabled products in a complex organisation; evidence of shipping on time and driving adoption
- Hands-on familiarity with Harvey is required; experience applying it in legal, tax, or other professional workflows is highly desirable
- Experience in Tax, Legal, Financial Services, or another regulated industry is a strong plus
- Ability to quantify benefits and understand enterprise SaaS, APIs, and Azure-based delivery is a plus
What We're Looking For
- A highly accountable delivery leader who closes the loop from business need to launched, used product
- Calm, decisive, and organised under pressure, with a strong bias for action and ownership of deadlines
- An excellent relationship builder who can influence business, technology, and control stakeholders without relying on hierarchy
- Genuinely curious about AI: continuously testing, learning, and updating judgement as technology changes
- Comfortable with ambiguity, candid about risks, and committed to measurable business impact
