Who We Are
Oliver Wyman Digital is a dedicated practice within Oliver Wyman, we deliver world-class products that give our clients a competitive edge and our mission is to leave a positive impact on the world. We have mixed agency skills with our consulting roots in order that we can best answer some of the largest companies’ toughest questions. Our global dynamic team deliver at the highest levels across many specialist skill sets including Design, Data Science & Analytics, Project Delivery and Engineering. We’re committed to growth that provides our people the most exciting and fulfilling opportunities and we are looking for more people to join us.

The Role And Responsibilities - AI Product Owner
As an AI Product Owner, you will shape the AI products and agentic solutions behind Oliver Wyman's AI-first transformation work, for our clients and for the firm. You own what an AI product should do and why: from business discovery and agentic workflow design, through hands-on prototyping and validation, to user adoption and measurable outcomes.
This is not a traditional product owner role. You will work in small, multidisciplinary teams alongside AI Product Engineers, consultants, industry experts, and client teams on live engagements. The role suits people who want to design and build working agentic solutions themselves, see their business impact first-hand, and develop the breadth to lead complete AI products.

What You Will Do

· Discovery and problem framing: Work with users and client teams to understand business problems, map processes, exceptions, decisions, and data dependencies, and identify where agents create value versus where simpler automation is more appropriate.

· Agentic workflow and solution design: Define agent roles, tool use, hand-offs, human checkpoints, failure handling, and appropriate autonomy. Create solution blueprints connecting user journeys, workflows, data flows, and controls.

· Hands-on prototyping and agent behaviour: Build and refine working agent and workflow prototypes using agent platforms, no-code tools, or light scripting. Experiment with instructions, context, tool configurations, and knowledge inputs, then test them against realistic scenarios.

· Acceptance and readiness: Define and execute functional acceptance tests covering successful outcomes, edge cases, incorrect outputs, failed actions, and escalation paths. Own business acceptance and coordinate technical, security, and risk approvals with the relevant specialists.

· Product ownership and value: Define requirements, priorities, backlog, roadmap, and acceptance criteria. Build business cases, establish performance baselines, measure realised value after deployment, and use quality, adoption, productivity, and cost evidence to guide improvements.

· Human-agent experience and adoption: Design how people instruct, supervise, correct, override, and recover from agent actions. Validate usability with users and support change, training, and handover so client teams can operate and extend solutions.

· Responsible AI and controls: Define acceptable use, permitted data access, human accountability, and decision boundaries. Work with engineers and risk, legal, and security specialists to implement proportionate safeguards and governance.

· Collaboration and client impact: Translate business needs into buildable scope and technical constraints into business decisions. Partner with AI Product Engineers on feasibility, evaluation, trade-offs, and clear communication with client stakeholders.

· AI-native practice and continuous improvement: Use AI tools to accelerate discovery, research synthesis, requirements, design, and prototyping while validating outputs. Contribute reusable workflows and methods and, as your experience grows, lead product workstreams and mentor others.

Skills And Qualifications
We hire across experience levels and assess what candidates can demonstrate. For early-career hires, the priority is strong discovery and product fundamentals, hands-on prototyping, and enough technical understanding to work effectively with engineers. Complex product strategy, enterprise deployment, and multidisciplinary leadership can develop with experience. We look for most of the following:

· A degree in business, design, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

· Demonstrated experience with product, digital delivery, user research, service design, or process improvement through employment, independent projects, or coursework; successful product launches are valued for more senior candidates.

· Evidence of personally building, testing, and improving at least one working AI, agentic, or automation prototype, rather than only writing requirements or managing a backlog.

· Ability to discover user needs, map processes, and turn ambiguous problems into clear requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria.

· Working technical understanding of LLMs, agents, tool calling, context, retrieval, APIs, and common failure modes, sufficient to design viable solutions with engineers.

· Practical experience refining agent instructions, tool configurations, or workflow steps using realistic scenarios and feedback.

· Ability to identify dependencies on data, systems, permissions, and human approvals, and recognise technical or operational constraints.

· Understanding of functional acceptance testing for agentic behaviour, including edge cases, failed actions, and when to escalate to a person.

· Product judgement and interest in defining success measures, assessing business value, and using adoption, quality, and cost evidence to improve products.

· A human-centred design mindset, with attention to clear user journeys, trust, transparency, accessibility, and adoption.

· Strong problem-solving, workshop facilitation, and collaboration with business and technology stakeholders; able to explain choices and trade-offs clearly.

· Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Nice To Have

· Experience with agent-builder, low-code, or workflow automation platforms, and light scripting (e.g., Python or SQL).

· Experience designing and testing user interfaces, user journeys, or human-in-the-loop review and approval experiences.

· Experience with product analytics, value measurement, business cases, or the launch and improvement of digital products.

· Experience in change management, operating-model design, or end-to-end business process transformation.

· Awareness of responsible AI practices, AI governance, and relevant regulation.

· Experience in consulting, client-facing, startup, or regulated environments; a portfolio of working prototypes or launched solutions is an advantage.
