Job Summary
To accurately process customer transactions, manage cash and digital payments, and provide efficient customer service while ensuring compliance with company financial controls, operational procedures, and customer service standards. The Cashier supports a positive dining experience by handling payments, addressing customer inquiries, maintaining transaction accuracy, and safeguarding company assets.
Key Accountabilities
- Process and reconcile cash, card, and digital transactions accurately in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accountability for cash handling, receipts, refunds, discounts, and daily transaction records.
- Deliver professional customer service by greeting customers, responding to inquiries, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Support sales and customer satisfaction through product recommendations and promotion of daily specials.
- Handle customer concerns promptly and escalate unresolved issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of the cashier station and related equipment.
- Safeguard company funds, transaction records, and customer payment information while complying with company policies, financial controls, hygiene, and HSE requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve transaction issues, report system or operational concerns, and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude
- Educational Qualifications & Certifications: High school degree.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with electronic equipment, like a cash register and POS system. Basic cash-handling, payment-method, receipt, refund, discount, void, and reconciliation principles. Basic restaurant menu, promotion, allergen-escalation, hygiene, QHSE, and guest-service requirements.
- Technical Skills: Accurate operation of POS terminals, cash registers, card devices, printers, and basic office applications. Cash counting, transaction verification, shift reconciliation, record filing, and basic numerical accuracy.
- Language Skills: Basic English & Arabic language communication skills
- Experience: 0-2 Years experience in a retail, cashier, or food service environment.
