Job Purpose
This Position exists to plan, control and monitor the execution of electrical related project tasks efficiently, in timely manner and quality standards as per the defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments.
Key Accountability Areas
- Perform erection, testing and commissioning of Power / Distribution transformers at site and factory.
- Perform trouble shooting, maintenance & testing of power / distribution transformers.
- Inspect transformer upon arrival and perform necessary tests.
- Check the availability of all the accessories for the transformer.
- Checking of the impact recorders and collecting the data’s from them.
- Check the requirements of crane or other equipments for the assembly or disassembly of the transformer at sites / factory.
- Perform the routine electrical tests of transformer in factory and at site as per the International standards
- Perform the low voltage electrical tests at the site.
- Planning of the day to day site activities for the timely completion of the job
- Perform the erection of the transformer accessories, vacuuming, oil filtration as per the laid down quality procedures
- Perform in process testing of transformer during the various stages of repair/manufacturing
- Co-ordinate with marketing, planning and the customer for the gate passes / work permits etc for the execution of the jobs.
- Ensure best practices are followed for the testing of Power and Distribution transformers.
