Job Summary
We are seeking an Estimator / Tendering Engineer to join our contracting and construction company on a remote-work basis.
The candidate will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions for new building projects, supporting the company’s business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 5 years of estimating or tendering experience in building construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction costs, unit rate build-up and market prices in Saudi Arabia.
- Experience in subcontractor and supplier quotation analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD; estimating software is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment and meet tender deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Study tender documents, drawings and specifications and identify risks and clarifications.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and unit rate build-ups for tender BOQs.
- Request, compare and analyze quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare cost estimates, pricing summaries and tender submissions.
- Propose value-engineering alternatives where appropriate.
- Maintain a cost database of rates and recent prices.
- Support the handover of awarded projects to the execution team.
