Food and Beverage Attendant

InterContinental Residences Abu Dhabi is seeking a friendly, attentive, and service-oriented F&B Attendant to join our team at our contemporary Mediterranean brasserie. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, beverage, and guest service, with a commitment to delivering a welcoming and memorable dining experience. A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you will mainly be responsible for:

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression and a comfortable dining experience.
• Provide attentive and personalised food and beverage service throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner operations.
• Present menus, explain dishes and beverage options, and assist guests with recommendations when required.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them promptly to the kitchen and bar teams.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring correct presentation and adherence to established service standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine, menu ingredients, and beverage offerings to assist guests with their selections.
• Respond to guest enquiries, dietary requirements, and special requests with care and professionalism.
• Maintain tables and service stations, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and readiness throughout service.
• Assist with restaurant setup, including table arrangements, cutlery, glassware, and other service essentials.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and anticipate needs, ensuring requests are attended to promptly.
• Handle guest feedback and concerns professionally, escalating issues to the supervisor or Restaurant Manager when necessary.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and other Food & Beverage colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support stock replenishment, proper handling of service equipment, and the maintenance of restaurant supplies.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, ensuring the restaurant is properly prepared for each service period.
• Maintain professional grooming, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to hospitality excellence.
• Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the relaxed sophistication of a contemporary Mediterranean dining experience.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in Food & Beverage service, preferably within a hotel, restaurant, or upscale dining environment.
• Good knowledge of restaurant service standards, food presentation, and beverage service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and guest-focused approach.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple guest requests effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
