The Ultimate Leaders Programme is a dynamic opportunity underpinned around our ‘We Care’ culture designed to fast-track you in achieving a supervisory role upon completion of the programme.

Throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to experience different areas within our Food & Beverage Department. Our senior leaders will be there to guide and support you as you develop the necessary technical and behavioral skills to become a well-rounded hospitality specialist.

During your time as a ULP, you will be able to take part in different training sessions organized by our Learning & Development team. These sessions are led by our Dorchester Collection Learning Academy, offering you valuable opportunities to gain exposure and learn.

What you'll do

You'll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests while building the foundation for a successful leadership career with us:

• Our Food & Beverage Ultimate Leaders will embark on a structured leadership development journey lasting 12 months, with the possibility of extending up to 18 months. Throughout the program, participants will rotate across various areas of the Food & Beverage division in placements ranging from 3 to 6 months. This immersive experience will provide a holistic understanding of luxury hospitality operations and leadership.
• Throughout the program, you will be encouraged to think and act like a future leader, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and ownership while contributing to the success of your assigned departments
• During your journey, you will be supported by a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance, coaching, and career development support as you begin your leadership career with The Lana, Dorchester Collection.
• You will participate in a comprehensive leadership development curriculum, covering topics such as leadership styles, emotional intelligence, feedback, coaching, communication, team engagement, and decision-making.
  Connect and learn directly from our Senior Leadership Team and Executive Committee members through mentorship, networking opportunities, and leadership exposure designed to help you become a legendary leader.
• Partner closely with our Learning & Development team through regular one-to-one sessions, workshops, and tailored development plans to strengthen your leadership capabilities and business acumen.
• Take responsibility for identifying opportunities to enhance operational excellence, improve processes and procedures, and contribute ideas that drive innovation within your designated areas.
• Lead and contribute to projects focused on improving both the guest experience and employee experience, bringing creative solutions that support our culture of excellence.
  Work on business-critical and development projects, including both personal leadership projects and operational improvement initiatives, presenting recommendations and measurable outcomes to key stakeholders.
• Develop cross-functional relationships and collaborate with colleagues across departments to gain a broader understanding of luxury hotel operations and build strong leadership networks.
• Upon successful completion of the Ultimate Leaders Program, high-performing candidates may be offered a permanent opportunity within the department and property, based on business needs and individual performance.
