About the Role
BEC Arabia is looking for an experienced Land Survey Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and manage all land surveying activities across our high-profile construction and infrastructure projects. As part of the HO Projects Department, you will ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data, enabling the successful execution of projects that align with Saudi Vision 2030.
You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to provide precise measurements and mapping data critical to project planning and execution. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to some of Saudi Arabia's most ambitious developments, including smart cities, highways, and government mega-projects. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all land surveying activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards, including the Saudi Building Code (SBC).
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to define survey requirements and deliverables.
- Develop and implement detailed survey plans, schedules, and methodologies to meet project timelines.
- Monitor the performance of survey teams, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Review and validate survey data, maps, and reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of surveying equipment, including Total Stations, GPS systems, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Train and mentor junior surveyors and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Prepare and submit detailed survey reports, including as-built drawings and topographic maps, to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to verify that survey data aligns with project specifications.
- Stay updated on the latest surveying technologies and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with GOSI and other applicable labor regulations for KSA-based roles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Geomatics Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in land surveying, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in surveying software and tools, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS systems, and Total Stations.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
- Demonstrated expertise in preparing and interpreting survey reports, maps, and as-built drawings.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or similar credentials.
- Experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes and tools.
- Proficiency in advanced surveying technologies such as 3D laser scanning.
Working Conditions
- Primarily field-based with regular visits to construction sites across Riyadh and surrounding regions.
- Exposure to outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions and rugged terrain.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory on-site.
- Standard working hours with potential for extended hours during critical project phases.
- Occasional travel to other project locations within Saudi Arabia may be required.
