BEC Arabia is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Construction Department in Riyadh. As a key member of our project team, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing complex civil engineering projects across various sectors, including commercial buildings, infrastructure, and government mega-projects. In this role, you will oversee all phases of civil engineering projects, from initial planning and design to execution and completion. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project integration and execution.
- Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and plans using advanced tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Primavera P6.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control protocols, and regulatory requirements, including the Saudi Building Code (SBC).
- Ensure adherence to Saudization (Nitaqat) program and other local labor laws.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to resolve engineering challenges and optimize construction processes.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including technical reports, contracts, and progress updates.
- Implement sustainability practices in line with LEED, Estidama, and Mostadam green building standards.
- Collaborate with the project management team to identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure project success.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, including the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE), to ensure all project approvals and certifications are obtained.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
- Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other local regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
- Experience with ARAMCO Approved Vendor or SABIC standards.
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools and practices.
- Proven track record of working on Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects.
- Expertise in green building certifications such as LEED or Mostadam.
Working Conditions
- Based in Riyadh, with occasional travel to project sites across Saudi Arabia.
- Primarily office-based, with regular site visits requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
