Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical authority for roadway, highway, and infrastructure lighting
- Review and approve lighting designs, drawings, and specifications submitted by contractors and consultants
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and energy-efficient lighting practices
- Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure contractor adherence to lighting design and specifications
- Review and approve RFIs, submittals, and design modifications related to lighting systems
- Provide technical guidance on electrical layouts, luminaires, control systems, and energy management
- Collaborate with civil, electrical, and traffic teams for coordinated design implementation
- Support project handover by reviewing as-built drawings, commissioning reports, and maintenance manuals
- Review installation methodologies, lighting fixture placement, and electrical integration
- Provide input on value engineering, sustainability, and cost optimization for lighting systems
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
- Mentor and guide junior lighting engineers and electrical staff within the PMC team
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 15 years of experience in lighting design and supervision for road, highway, or infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in a PMC or consultancy role
- In-depth knowledge of local Saudi standards, lighting codes, and energy efficiency guidelines
- Strong coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
- Expertise in roadway, street, and infrastructure lighting systems
