We are seeking a detail-oriented Mid-Level QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test cases across our web and mobile platforms. A key part of this role will be supporting our shift toward automated testing and exploring how AI-driven tools can optimize our current QA workflows.
Key Responsibilities
● Test Planning & Execution: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for new features and regression cycles.
● Platform Coverage: Perform end-to-end testing across Web and Mobile environments.
● Defect Management: Identify, record, document, and track bugs thoroughly using Jira (or similar tools), ensuring clear reproduction steps for the engineering team.
● Automation Transition: Assist in identifying manual test cases suitable for automation and help build out the initial automation framework.
● AI Integration: Stay updated on AI-powered testing tools and assist in implementing them to improve bug detection and test coverage.
● Collaboration: Work closely with Backend and Frontend developers to ensure quality is integrated throughout the SDLC.
Technical Requirements
● Experience: 3–5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
● Testing Skills: Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes (Functional, Regression, Integration, and API testing).
● API Testing: Proficient in testing RESTful APIs and working with databases.
● Tooling: Experience with tools like Postman, Charles Proxy, or Fiddler.
● Automation Skills: Basic to intermediate experience with automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, or Appium).
● Scripting: Familiarity with TypeScript or JavaScript is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
● Exposure to legacy system testing (Angular/Express).
● Prior experience or a strong interest in using AI tools for test case generation or execution.
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor junior QA trainees.
