Key Accountabilities
- Perform paint colour mixing and formulation to achieve the required vehicle shade.
- Use computer systems and paint-mixing software/programs effectively.
- Deliver high-quality vehicle refinishing with good efficiency, contributing to customer satisfaction and company profitability.
- Ensure proper use, handling, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Identify equipment-related issues, recommend appropriate solutions, and follow Management instructions and SOPs for proper equipment handling.
- Follow technical specifications provided by the vehicle manufacturer and instructions from Management.
- Ensure accurate colour mixing and blending to achieve a proper match with the existing vehicle colour.
- Apply appropriate painting techniques, including water-based and base-coat refinishing, as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace and ensure proper care of tools and equipment.
- Follow all workplace occupational health and safety procedures.
- Perform any other relevant duties assigned by Management.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- S.S.C., Trade Certificate, or Vocational Training.
- 2–3 years of experience as a Paint Mixer or Auto Painter within a reputable dealership or automotive workshop.
- Good knowledge of spray booth operations.
- Ability to identify and assess painting defects.
- Good understanding of paint mixing machines, colour mixing processes, and related equipment.
- Knowledge of different types of automotive paint materials and refinishing products.
