Responsibilities
The key objectives for this role are:
- Ensure safe execution of mechanical and multi-disciplinary works by managing and authorizing permits-to-work (PTW) as the designated Area Authority.
- Drive a strong safety culture onsite, enforce HSE compliance, and achieve zero incidents through proactive risk management and intervention.
- Act as the Area Authority for issuing, reviewing, and controlling permits-to-work (PTW) for mechanical and related activities. Ensure all permits are properly authorized, risk-assessed, and aligned with HSE standards.
- Monitor and guide contractors/subcontractors in executing mechanical works safely and in compliance with project specifications. Ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks, and intervene in unsafe practices. Ensure all work activities are risk-assessed and mitigated.
- Serve as the interface between PMC management, EPC contractors, and site teams. Resolve conflicts, clarify scope, and ensure smooth execution of mechanical and multi-disciplinary works.
- Verify mechanical installations, piping works, and equipment erection against IFC drawings and standards. Ensure QA/QC compliance and closure of non-conformities.

Expected:
- Degree or Diploma with a minimum of 10 years Oil and Gas industry experience
- Experience within an Oil and Gas operating company is also highly desired and may be considered in lieu of capital project experience
- Must have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with a strong command of the English language.
- Must be willing to travel extensively for multi-week periods and have the flexibility to adjust work location to support project needs
