Job Purpose
Join our Group Security team, where you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of security across the Emirates Group. Our diverse security units include Security Training, Group Security Command Centre, Hub Operations, Crime Prevention & Investigation, Threat & Risk Assessment, Aviation Security Assurance, and Business Support all working together to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies. As a Project Officer in the Group Security - Business Support team, you will assist the Project Managers with the development and implementation of projects, including project plans, process review, redesign and solutions, and contribute to issue resolution and escalation, research, analysis activities, and planning and monitoring activities
In this role you will:
- Monitor, track and report on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans for assigned projects.
- Maintain a register of compliance with endorsed project management methodology.
- Lead change management processes as required.
- Contribute to the development of project plans under the guidance of a Project Manager to develop future capability.
- Research and analyse options in relation to business cases and project deliverables to guide optimal decision-making.
- Lead defined projects with the guidance of the Project Manager.
- Undertake process mapping activities to understand current processes whilst identifying opportunities for process efficiencies to make recommendations for service redesign.
Qualification
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Hold a Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
- Have 3+ years of experience in general administration.
You will have an edge if you have:
- Have experience working on projects or within a project team environment.
- Have PRINCE2 or PMP certification, which is desirable but not essential.
- Possess thorough familiarity with all Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Project and other scheduling computer applications.
- Have the ability to work effectively as a team member and independently.
- Have the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, troubleshoot, and meet short- and long-term deadlines.
- Have demonstrated experience in budget and financial management.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess excellent critical and creative thinking and analytical skills.
