To promote and sell their company’s products, whether pharmaceutical drugs or medical equipment to customers (can include doctors, nurses and pharmacists) and to increase product awareness, answer queries, provide advice and introduce new products, while reporting to the AM.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
1- Arranging appointments with doctors, pharmacists and hospital medical teams, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular ‘cold’ calling.
2- Making presentations to doctors, practice staff and nurses in GP surgeries, hospital doctors and pharmacists in the retail sector. Presentations may take place in medical settings during the day or may be conducted in the evenings at a local hotel or conference venue.
3- Organizing conferences for doctors and other medical staff.
4- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with medical staff and supporting administrative staff.
5- Keeping detailed records of all field visits; manage CRM Program effectively.
6- Managing budgets (outside speakers, conferences, hospitality, etc.).
7- Keeping detailed records of all contacts; manage SFE Program effectively.
8- Reaching (and if possible exceeding) annual sale targets.
9- Planning work schedules, and weekly and monthly timetables. This may involve working with the area sales team or discussing future targets with the Area Manager.
10- Regularly attending company meetings, technical data presentations and briefings.
11- Keeping up to date with the latest clinical data supplied by the company, and interpreting, presenting and discussing this data with health professionals during presentations.
12- Monitoring competitor activity and competitors’ products.
13- Maintaining knowledge of new developments in healthcare industry, anticipating potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapting strategy accordingly.
14- Administrating effectively territory business including, maintenance of high-quality record systems, daily communication with administrative systems and timely processing of territory business expenses (AV and personal)
15- Communicating effectively the communication with territory colleagues and relevant members of other teams – e.g. Healthcare Hospital – to understand, maximize and drive territory.
16- Reporting market and competitor feedback.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Medical Field.
Experience: 1+ years’ experience in related work.
