Role Summary:

We are looking for a Risk Policy Manager to develop and optimise risk strategies for both new and existing customers across the lending lifecycle. The role will focus on customer admission, loan approval, credit limit management, and risk-based marketing strategies to balance portfolio quality, customer growth, and profitability.
Responsibilities
New Customer Risk Policy
Develop and optimise customer admission and loan approval policies by identifying key risk factors and risk indicators.
Design and improve application processes to enhance customer quality and the accuracy of application information.
Establish differentiated credit limit strategies based on customer risk profiles and identify opportunities to improve credit utilisation and acceptance rates while maintaining risk controls.
Partner with Growth and Acquisition teams to enhance customer risk assessment using channel data and provide quantitative feedback to maintain acquisition quality.
Existing Customer & Renewal Risk Policy
Develop and optimise loan approval policies for repeat borrowers based on customer behaviour and risk performance.
Improve approval rates for low-risk customers while maintaining effective risk controls.
Build and manage credit limit frameworks, with regular adjustments based on risk performance, customer activity, and repayment behaviour.
Collaborate with Marketing and Growth teams to improve engagement, retention, and customer lifetime value through targeted risk-based strategies.
Monitor policy performance and identify opportunities to improve portfolio quality, lending performance, and overall profitability.
Requirements
Experience in credit risk policy, lending strategy, or risk management within consumer lending, digital lending, or fintech.
Strong understanding of customer admission, credit approval, credit limit management, and the lending lifecycle.
Experience developing and optimising risk policies for new and existing customers.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret customer data, identify risk trends, and evaluate policy performance.
Experience working with data, risk modelling, or quantitative analysis to support policy decisions.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across Risk, Product, Growth, and Marketing teams.
Commercially minded, with the ability to balance risk control, customer acquisition, portfolio growth, and profitability.
