ROLE PURPOSE

The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.

The role exists to support the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems by translating business requirements into technical solutions, configuring and integrating applications, and resolving complex technical issues. The role contributes to ERP availability, reliability, and continuity through testing, controlled deployments, technical coordination, and effective documentation in alignment with business objectives and IT architecture standards.

Key Activities

1. ERP Implementation & Deployment

• Support the implementation and deployment of ERP systems and modules in line with approved business and technical requirements.
• Configure ERP application components and coordinate release activities, deployment readiness, and rollback arrangements with relevant teams.
• Track assigned technical deliverables, timelines, and dependencies, and report risks and issues to relevant stakeholders.

1. Business Requirements & Technical Solutions

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document ERP functional and technical requirements.
• Translate approved requirements into technical specifications, configurations, and enhancements aligned with IT architecture standards.
• Assess proposed ERP changes for technical feasibility, integration impacts, and alignment with business processes.

1. ERP Technical Support & Service Management

• Provide Level 3 (L3) technical support for escalated ERP incidents and service requests.
• Investigate root causes, implement approved corrective actions, and coordinate complex issue resolution with technical teams and vendors.
• Perform assigned incident, problem, and change management activities in line with applicable ITIL practices and service procedures.

1. ERP Integration & Access Enablement

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot interfaces between ERP systems and other enterprise applications, platforms, and services.
• Validate data exchanges and coordinate resolution of integration failures with relevant application and infrastructure teams.
• Support Single Sign-On (SSO) integration requests and access configurations in coordination with identity and information security teams.

1. ERP Availability & Technical Operations

• Monitor ERP availability, performance, and scheduled processing, and investigate issues affecting business-critical services.
• Coordinate server, system, database, and network dependencies with infrastructure teams to maintain ERP stability and availability.
• Maintain ERP configuration records and provide application asset and software license usage information to relevant owners.

1. ERP Backup, Recovery & Continuity

• Support ERP backup and recovery activities in coordination with infrastructure and database teams.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing, validate application recovery, and document results and corrective actions.
• Identify application continuity risks and support recovery readiness in line with approved business continuity requirements.

1. ERP Testing & Solution Validation

• Conduct technical, system, integration, and regression testing for ERP implementations, changes, and enhancements.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders and validate solutions against approved requirements.
• Document test results, track defects, and verify corrective actions before production deployment.

1. ERP Enhancement & Technical Coordination

• Support ERP enhancements and enterprise digital transformation initiatives based on business priorities and operational needs.
• Coordinate vendor support and maintenance activities, including patches, upgrades, and resolution of technical issues.
• Maintain documentation of ERP configurations, technical solutions, interfaces, integrations, and operational procedures, and support knowledge transfer.

1. Policies, Processes & Procedures

• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

• Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Academic and professional qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in ERP platforms, systems integration, or IT service management are considered an advantage.

Years and Nature of Experience

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in ERP implementation, configuration, technical support, development, or systems integration.
