Job Overview
- Maintenance Senior Mechanic provides leadership, direction and coordination in the implementation and improvement of the entire Asset Management Processes with primary focus on execution of the short and long work schedules.
- He will lead multi-disciplined team of maintenance personnel and manage all aspects of the mine maintenance in the safe, productive, cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities and Duties
§ Ensure that all department work performed is done in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet or exceed all Jacrijk Al-Rushaid Mining operations rule, as well as all local, state or province and federal safety and environmental laws and regulator acts.
§ Provides leadership in facilitating positive change.
§ Develops and improve mobile maintenance programs to ensure policies and procedures are implemented coordinate and communicate with other department’s repair of vehicles, maintenance scheduling, inspections, and planning of related activities.

§ Responsible for cost savings, more efficient operations, personal and professional development of maintenance supervision and their crews.
§ Must be involved in the daily operations ready to give instructions and be hand on all the time.
§ Responsible for carrying out departmental goals and supporting Jacrijk Al-rushaid Mining operations environmental and safety policies.
§ In the absence of superior, may perform supervisor’s duties. Provides direct leadership during the execution of “major” asset management repairs.
§ Communicates the key asset management performance indicators as well as the companies’ KPIs,
§ Empower others make decisions and be accountable for those decisions.
§ Ensures that the daily and weekly asset management schedules are executed
§ Ensures that the daily and weekly asset management schedules are communicated and coordinated with the craft workers/technicians.
§ Participates actively in the weekly “Asset Management/Scheduling” meeting.
§ Support the planning group and maintenance Crewmembers/Technicians/Supervisors in their daily functions or other task as requested by superintendent.
Qualifications
Education Level: Relevant Technical degree in mechanical, electromechanical, or similar.
Years of Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience mainly in Mining environment with Caterpillar machines
Specific Skills / Competencies:
§ Mechanical or electromechanical background is preferred.
§ Experience of maintenance supervision of a surface services environment, including hoists, mobile, stationary, and electrical & HD equipment mainly Caterpillar fleet.
§ Excellent problem-solving skills.
§ Excellent verbal and communication.
§ Strong teamwork commitment
§ Preferable an ex-Caterpillar certified technician.
§ Able to work in hard conditions and remote places.
Required Licenses and Certifications (Optional/If position required): Caterpillar specialist certificate, caterpillar mechanic Certificate or technician with a strong experience in caterpillar machines with a technical diploma.
