Summary
NMDC Group is seeking a Senior Yard Engineer for its Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates location. The role requires experience in Oil & Gas fabrication yards and projects involving modules, structural steel, piping supports, pipe racks, skids, or jackets. The engineer will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, and support fabrication planning, schedule and progress monitoring, and coordination with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Procurement, and Client teams. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline and 10–15 years of relevant experience are required.

Relevant professional certification in fabrication, welding, or construction will be an advantage.
Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas fabrication and construction projects.
Strong experience in fabrication yards, module fabrication, structural steel, piping supports, pipe racks, skids, jackets, and related Oil & Gas facilities.
Experience working on major EPC/EPCM projects with international clients and contractors is preferred.
Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, fit-up, dimensional control, NDT, blasting, painting, and material traceability.
Good knowledge of applicable international codes, standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
Proven experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors within a fabrication yard.
Strong understanding of project schedules, fabrication planning, productivity targets, and progress monitoring.
Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Procurement, and Client teams.
