Organization Unit Purpose:
Group Retail Risk is the Credit Policy unit for Retail Lending covering Personal Loans, Auto Loans, Credit Cards, Mortgages, Overdraft and SME.
Job Purpose:
Part of the team of Analysts, Statisticians and Database Managers in devising, developing, and enhancing MIS and analytical reports. Building comprehensive data platform and analytics pack for all Products.
1. Preparation of monthly risk dashboards and MIS for the Emirates NBD Retail portfolio
Preparation of MIS decks and dashboards
Deep dive on any portfolio deterioration
Tracking delinquencies and losses against the Budget numbers
2. Assisting in preparation of loss forecast models for portfolios including Micro SME
Liaise with product teams for volume budgets, finalizing the forecast model after considering various policy related factors. Validating the loss forecast model and tracking the actual against the plans.
3. Executing the segmentation models developed for credit and collections in Emirates NBD Retail and Micro SME portfolios on a monthly basis
Ensuring the data is in-line with the signed off segmentation document
Publishing the same to stakeholders on a timely basis
4. MIS reports and analysis for Emirates NBD Retail portfolio
Portfolio update on a monthly basis
Retention base generation for Personal Loans
CLI and LOC base generation on agreed timelines
Analysis of profitable segments on Credit Cards
Preparation of all relevant material required for various decks
Education
Graduate or above
Experiences
3 to 5 years of experience
Knowledge & Skills
Microsoft Suite, SAS and other statistical tools
Strong Analytical Skills
Knowledge of retail asset banking products

Responsibilities
1. Reliable credit portfolio monitoring through accurate MIS reporting
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly credit MIS reports using approved templates and data sources to ensure portfolio transparency.
- Validate data integrity by cross-referencing source systems and resolving discrepancies before report submission.
- Coordinate with business units to clarify data anomalies and ensure completeness of reporting inputs.
- Escalate unresolved data quality issues to management for timely intervention.
Performance Measures:
- Accuracy of MIS reports as validated by internal audit or management review
- Timeliness of report delivery to stakeholders
- Stakeholder feedback on usefulness and clarity of portfolio monitoring outputs
2. Data-driven decision support for risk management teams
- Extract and prepare datasets for ad hoc analysis requests from risk and collections teams.
- Utilise data visualisation tools to present trends and exceptions in credit performance.
- Respond to queries from internal stakeholders regarding data definitions, sources, and interpretations.
- Document and maintain procedures for recurring analytics tasks to support knowledge transfer and consistency.
Performance Measures:
- Quality of data extracts and visualisations in supporting business queries
- Responsiveness to ad hoc analysis requests
- Consistency and completeness of analytics process documentation
3. Data integrity and compliance with regulatory reporting standards
- Adhere to internal controls and regulatory guidelines when preparing credit-related data for regulatory submissions.
- Perform routine checks to ensure data privacy and confidentiality in line with bank policy and MAS/EU regulations.
- Support periodic audits by providing requested data extracts and process documentation.
- Identify and flag potential data breaches or compliance gaps to the manager for escalation.

- Absence of regulatory findings related to credit MIS data quality
- Audit feedback on completeness and accuracy of data provided
- Compliance with data privacy and confidentiality protocols
4. Continuous improvement of MIS and analytics processes
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive reporting tasks using available tools and scripts.
- Contribute suggestions for enhancing report formats or analytics methodologies based on stakeholder feedback.
- Participate in team discussions to review and update standard operating procedures for MIS processes.
- Support the implementation of new data tools or upgrades by testing outputs and reporting issues.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Business, Information Systems, or related field
- Relevant certifications in data analytics or risk management (preferred)
