Job Summary
As a Bartender – Banquets at DELANO Dubai, you will play an essential role in creating exceptional beverage experiences during banquets, private functions, and special events. Combining creativity, technical expertise, and a passion for hospitality, you will prepare and serve beverages with precision and flair, ensuring every guest enjoys personalised service that reflects the distinctive luxury and sophistication of DELANO Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation & Service: Prepare, mix, garnish, and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic cocktails and signature creations, in accordance with established recipes and event specifications.
Guest Experience: Engage naturally with guests, anticipate their preferences, and deliver attentive, personalised beverage service throughout events.
Bar Setup & Breakdown: Prepare and organise banquet bar stations before events, ensuring all beverages, glassware, garnishes, equipment, and supplies are ready. Assist with clearing and resetting bar areas following events.
Event Coordination: Collaborate closely with banquet supervisors, service teams, and kitchen colleagues to ensure smooth operations and timely beverage service.
Inventory Management: Monitor beverage stock levels, maintain accurate inventory records, report shortages, and support efficient stock replenishment while minimising wastage.
Presentation & Quality: Maintain impeccable beverage presentation, consistency, and quality while ensuring bar stations remain clean, organised, and aligned with DELANO Dubai's luxury service standards.
Health & Safety: Follow all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
Operational Support: Adapt to different event formats, guest volumes, and service requirements, supporting the wider banquet team with event setup and breakdown as needed.
Qualifications
Luxury Experience: You have previous bartending experience within a luxury hotel, high-end restaurant, premium bar, or upscale events environment, with a strong understanding of refined beverage service and guest expectations.
Mixology Expertise: You possess solid knowledge of spirits, wines, cocktails, and contemporary beverage trends, with the ability to prepare drinks consistently and confidently.
Exceptional Service Skills: Your communication and interpersonal skills allow you to engage naturally with guests, understand their preferences, and deliver attentive, discreet, and personalised service.
Operational Knowledge: You are familiar with banquet operations, bar equipment, beverage inventory procedures, hygiene standards, and event service coordination.
Flexibility & Teamwork: You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, work collaboratively with colleagues, and adapt effortlessly to different event formats and guest requirements.
Educational Background: A relevant qualification in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
