The Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement, operational standardization, data quality, systems optimization, compliance, and digital transformation initiatives across the Arabian Gulf Air & Sea business. The role acts as a strategic partner to country management teams, ensuring operational processes are efficient, compliant, measurable, and aligned with regional and global standards.

The position supports business growth by identifying improvement opportunities, leading operational projects, governing key performance indicators (KPIs), driving adoption of CargoWise One (CW1), TANGO, and related digital solutions, and ensuring operational consistency across all countries within the Arabian Gulf cluster. The successful candidate will be based in Dubai.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across Air & Sea operations.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement sustainable improvement initiatives.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for operational issues.
• Standardize operational processes across the Arabian Gulf cluster.

Systems & Digital Transformation

• Act as the regional subject matter expert for CargoWise One (CW1), TANGO, and related operational platforms.
• Support business implementation projects, system rollouts, upgrades, and process automation initiatives.
• Ensure effective utilization of system functionality and adherence to best practices.
• Promote digital adoption and customer visibility solutions.

Data Quality & KPI Governance

• Monitor operational KPIs and data quality performance.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics to support management decision-making.
• Drive improvements in Data Quality and KPI metrics.
• Ensure KPI definitions and measurements are consistently applied across the region.

Compliance & Operational Governance

• Ensure compliance with DSV policies, customer requirements, regulatory obligations, and operational standards.
• Support implementation of customs, security, e-invoicing, and data governance initiatives.
• Manage operational governance frameworks and audit readiness activities.
• Coordinate corrective actions arising from internal or external audits.

Project Management

• Lead cross-functional and regional improvement projects.
• Coordinate stakeholders across operations, finance, commercial, IT, and regional management teams.
• Develop project plans, timelines, implementation strategies, and communication plans.
• Measure and report realized business benefits from improvement initiatives.
• Handle incident requests incoming while handling other task priorities simultaneously.
• Coordinate root cause analysis.

Training & Change Management

• Deliver operational and system training programs.
• Support onboarding and capability development for operational teams.
• Drive business readiness and user adoption during process and system changes.
• Develop and maintain training materials, process documentation, and best practice guides.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Country Managers, Branch Managers, Operations Managers, Finance, Commercial, and IT teams.
• Act as one of the key primary point of contact for operational excellence initiatives within the cluster.
• Collaborate with global, regional, and cluster Operational Excellence teams to align priorities and share best practices.
• Strong experience in Air Freight and Sea Freight operations.

Experience

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience within freight forwarding and logistics is Preferred.
• Previous Operational Excellence, Business Change Management and Project Management experience is preferred.

Technical Knowledge

• Knowledge of CargoWise One (CW1) and / or TANGO System is required.
• Strong understanding of Air & Sea operations.
• Experience with operational reporting and business intelligence tools.
• Excel and data analytical skills.
• Power BI knowledge preferred.
• Basic knowledge of API/EDI solutions is preferred.
• Performing other tasks as maybe required by management.
