The Service Crew at Tortilla Restaurant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to ensure a positive dining experience for our guests. This role involves taking food and beverage orders, serving meals, and attending to customer needs while maintaining a clean and organized dining area. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a friendly and outgoing personality, and a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers in a warm and friendly manner upon their arrival.
- Present menus to guests and provide detailed information about the dishes and beverages offered.
- Assist customers in making menu selections and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Providing attentive and personalized service throughout the dining experience, anticipating, and fulfilling customer needs.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from customers and enter them into the POS system.
- Check dishes and beverages for quality, accuracy, and presentation before serving them to guests.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the dining experience, attending to guests' needs and addressing any issues or complaints promptly.
- Checking in with customers during their meal to ensure satisfaction and promptly addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Collaborating with the service team to gather customer feedback and suggestions to enhance the overall customer journey.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including tables, chairs, and serving stations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards.
- Prepare and deliver checks to customers, process payments, and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide efficient service and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Upsell additional products and services when appropriate to enhance the guest experience.
- Attend training sessions and stay updated on menu changes, specials, and promotional offers.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up tables, restocking supplies, and cleaning tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a waiter or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and serving.
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients and preparation methods.
