Description
Key Responsibilities
- Support departmental goals, financial targets, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Manage storage areas and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
- Assist with staff training and work scheduling.
- Supervise housekeeping staff and ensure compliance with departmental standards.
- Conduct staff briefings, provide coaching, and support continuous improvement.
- Ensure excellent guest service and promptly address guest requests and complaints.
- Coordinate room allocations, inspections, and arrival room priorities.
- Liaise with Front Office and manage guest requests, valet services, calls, and lost property.
- Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, fire safety, and hotel security procedures.
- Report incidents and accidents promptly.
- Support sustainability initiatives and coordinate special housekeeping projects.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of room types, layouts, facilities, and housekeeping systems.
Job Qualifications & Requirements
- High school certificate required; hotel school qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position within an international hotel chain, preferably IHG.
- Good command of English is essential; Arabic is an advantage.
- Smart, well-groomed, professional, and able to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and external parties.
- Ability to prepare reports, maintain records, interpret information, and deliver training.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, reasoning, coaching, and training skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
