Job Summary

The Social Media Specialist at ThurayaBiz plays a key role in developing, managing, and optimizing social media content and activities that support the organization’s branding, marketing, and communication objectives. Reporting to the relevant Marketing/Communication Lead, this position involves planning social media content, managing digital platforms, engaging with audiences, and monitoring performance to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

Key Responsibilities and Roles:

1) Social Media Content Creation:

• Develop and implement social media content plans aligned with marketing and communication objectives.
• Create engaging content for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and other relevant channels.
• Write captions, posts, and social media copy that reflect the brand’s tone of voice.
• Coordinate with creative and content teams to develop visual and multimedia content.
• Adapt content according to different platforms, audiences, and campaign objectives.

2) Social Media Management & Community Engagement

• Manage and maintain the organization’s social media accounts and content calendars.
• Schedule and publish content according to approved plans and timelines.
• Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and audience interactions.
• Respond to audience inquiries and coordinate with relevant teams when escalation is required.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with online communities and audiences.

3) Campaigns & Collaboration

• Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns and digital initiatives.
• Work closely with marketing, creative, content, and project management teams.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative social media ideas.
• Coordinate with influencers, content creators, and external partners when required.
• Support social media activities related to events, launches, and promotional campaigns.

4) Performance Monitoring & Optimization

• Monitor social media performance, engagement, reach, and audience growth.
• Analyze social media insights and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare regular social media performance reports and recommendations.
• Test and optimize content formats, posting schedules, and engagement strategies.
• Monitor competitors and relevant industry trends.

5) Trends & Continuous Learning

• Stay updated with social media trends, platform updates, algorithms, and emerging content formats.
• Identify new opportunities to increase audience engagement and brand visibility.
• Explore innovative content ideas and social media tools.
• Participate in training and professional development to enhance social media expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, or related field.
• Relevant certifications in Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, Meta, Google, or related platforms.
• 2–4 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or related roles.
• Proven portfolio or experience demonstrating successful social media campaigns and content.

Skills & Competencies (Nice to Have)

• Strong knowledge of major social media platforms and their best practices.
• Proficiency in social media management and scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, and social media analytics tools.
• Strong content writing, storytelling, and audience engagement skills.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design, photography, video, and short-form content.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret social media performance data.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and strong visual sense.
• Effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, and customer focus.
• Ability to manage multiple platforms, campaigns, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
