Role Purpose:
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for planning and executing the Department of Energy's social media strategy in order to enhance the Department of Energy's reputation, online presence, community management, and brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and manage the Department of Energy's social media strategy under the direction of the head of the Digital Communications Section
Define and track key social media KPIs to track success and major milestones.
Plan and organize social media content in conjunction with the rest of the Digital Communications team
Develop and keep up-to-date social media calendar and scheduling tools where possible
Remain current on the most recent social media best practices and technologies
Communicate with industry professionals and key influencers to build a robust network.
Establish and optimize websites and platforms to increase the visibility of the Department of Energy's social content.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital media, communications, or related field
Previous work experience in a similar role
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience, in a relevant field

Qualifications
